Since early 1994, LaserSight has installed well over 400 units worldwide. LaserSight excimer laser systems are in use in the United States and more than 30 countries. LaserSight has an install base with distribution and service network that includes Korea, Malaysia, South Africa, Namibia, India, Spain, UK, Russia, France, Norway, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Canada and Italy. Some countries like China are still experiencing substantial first time install growth, in this market we currently have over 60 units operating successfully, with a strong service force and stock replacement parts. In other countries such as Portugal, Netherlands and Finland we have developed and established strong distributor relationships. The European install base is also over 60 systems with the most recent AstraScan XL configuration installed in a governmental clinic in Lisbon Portugal. The Middle Eastern countries have recently entered in a health-restructuring phase that includes Refractive correction services. Countries such as Lebanon, UAE, Jordan, Egypt Syria and Saudi Arabia, are serviced by our distributor Medicals International based out of Lebanon and with subsidiaries in each country. They currently have seven systems throughout their territory and are negotiating more installations and replacements. Our distributor Safa Baztab Co. services Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Yemen, Oman, and Turkmenistan and others.
